Logical tire in a hard-to-find sizeMay 10, 2010

I wasn't sure what to do when I needed a tire for my son's bicycle and discovered it took an oddball size, the originals being 14" x 2.x. Turns out 14" bicycle tires are extremely hard to find! Once I found them, these 14" x 1.75 (47-254) Kendas at $6.99 each were an obvious choice. We just installed the tires today, but they're Kendas, which is good, and the narrower size and smoother tread design (compared to more typical BMX knobbies) should prove suitable for pavement use.
